Freestyle Jeet Kune Do™
Freestyle Jeet Kune Do™ grows through coaches and gyms around the world who share its principles.
A club is a group that trains together under the Freestyle Jeet Kune Do™ name: classes, sparring and preparation for amateur competition. Clubs are named by city, for example Freestyle Jeet Kune Do™ Club – Barcelona.
Club coaches are welcomed on the basis of their martial arts experience, their moral character, and their commitment to the mutual welfare of the individual and the global community. A background in any range of combat, for example kicking, punching, clinch or grappling, is welcome. An exclusively Jeet Kune Do background is not required.
Freestyle JKD events can be hosted by approved organizers. Judo, sambo and wrestling gyms are ideal hosts.
Approved organizers receive the official rules, event guidelines and safety requirements. Only events approved by the Founder & Director and run under the official rules may use the Freestyle Jeet Kune Do™ name.
